Brooke Ray Martin-Eder has dedicated their life to the research of movement, sharing their philosophies through performance and teaching. Beginning their foundation in a variety of styles at age two, they were working professionally and training with some of the industry’s most renowned choreographers by twelve. Brooke’s career bridges the worlds of dance, fashion, and art. Most recently, they were featured in American Vogue’s December issue with Inez & Vinoodh, and shot for Beyond Noise magazine with Craig McDean. They also performed as a dancer in the Marc Jacobs fashion show choreographed by Karole Armitage, where Jacobs personally recognized them for their artistry. Throughout their career, Brooke has built lasting relationships with esteemed choreographers, including Brian Friedman, with whom they trained extensively while dancing at The Pulse On Tour. They have performed at showcases such as The Pulse Gala, Love is Love Sybarite, and Choreographer’s Carnival, while continuing their long-standing work with Abstrakt Beings. A pivotal moment in Brooke’s artistic journey was their three-month residency in LA for Erica Sobol’s The Gypsy Program, where they worked closely with Tilman O’Donnell, Medhi Walerski, Jiri Pokorny, Jermaine Spivey, and David Harvey. Since then, they have assisted Mia Michaels and worked closely with Ohad Naharin at both Orsolina 28 in Italy and in Tel Aviv, Israel. Currently, Brooke is furthering their artistic exploration through a residency in Torino, Italy, with Roy Assaf, working alongside Marcat Dance, Ella Rothschild, Astrid Boons, Emilie Leriche, and Tom Weinberger. Their work is defined by an emotional depth that captivates audiences, making them a compelling presence in contemporary dance.
