Lorraina Boyette

Biography

Lorraina "Rainey" Boyette is a New York and Charlotte, North Carolina based performing artist. She is a multi-faceted talent with extensive experience in both classical and neo-classical ballet, as well as contemporary and modern dance genres. Born and raised in Charlotte NC, her professional training began at an early age at Charlotte Ballet under the leadership and direction of Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride. Lorraina has performed with Ballet West, Nashville Ballet and is a recurring guest artist with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. She is a two time Jacob's Pillow Alumni, performing original works with the Contemporary Ballet performance ensemble at the 90th Anniversary Gala. As a freelance artist, she performed in the Fall and Winter of 2023/24 with the the NC Choreographers Residency Project, Movement Migration and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet's Nutcracker. Lorraina continues to expand her repertoire with advanced training at the Martha Graham School in Winter 2024 and will spend the Summer at Orsolina28, training with FLOCK, Juliano Nunes, and Ohad Naharin's GagaLab. She can be seen on stage at CDCFest in July 2024.
