Runako Campbell is a performing artist driven by movement and all of its possibilities. As a dance artist, actor, and collaborator, her career spans across Broadway, television, commercials, recording artists, contemporary dance, opera, and beyond. Her credits include Jagged Little Pill on Broadway, The Met Opera, Vogue New York Fashion Week, Jack Harlow, Dance Lab New York, and commercials for brands including Visit Panamá, Taco Bell, Capital One, and Crunch Fitness. She’s worked on various projects throughout New York City with choreographers including Madison Hicks, Shannon Lewis, Lauren and Chris Grant, Mayte Natalio, and Dylan Pearce. Before moving to New York, Runako was a company artist with GroundWorks DanceTheater where she performed works by Hannah Garner, Adam Barruch, and Antonio Brown. Runako graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in African-American Studies and a Certificate in Dance. She has performed works by Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Peter Chu, Rena Butler, Robert Battle, Bill T. Jones, Gabrielle Lamb, and Christopher Ralph. She has attended programs all over the world including Forsythe/Pite at Orsolina28, Gaga Tel Aviv, b12, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s Eastman, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, Damiani Dance, LINES Ballet, ChuThis, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. When not performing, Runako enjoys practicing yoga, reading, journaling, and seeking out new restaurants.
