Biography

DEREK SISOUPHONE, 26, was born in San Diego, California. He is a Los Angeles based working professional Dancer, Actor, and Model. He studied acting and graduated with a BFA from the University of California, Irvine in June 2021. Derek has danced nationally and internationally, performing at theaters, festivals, concerts, on-set both locally and globally. Including the Haus of Wonder in Seoul, South Korea, Instagram Commercial in Mexico City, Mexico and Coachella in Indio, California. He has studied and danced with choreographers such as Tia Rivera, Brian and Scott Nicholson, Will B. Bell, Ryan Spencer and more. Versatile in ballet, jazz/jazz-funk, and hip hop and breakdance. Derek is also a professional working actor, bartender, barista, home cook, graphic designer, stylist and signed model with ONYX UNITY Los Angeles/New York. From lead/OCP roles in Spotify and Apple commercial, performing at Coachella, traveling and touring with 'Emotional Oranges,' the surreal moments and opportunities has just began to flourish in Derek's career thus far - he plans to continue merging his artistic abilities, creating and participating in projects across all genres and mediums through diversifying authenticity and representation in the Asian-American community.
