Will David Thompson

Biography

Will was born in London and trained in dance at Rambert School. After graduating in 2016 he has gone on to work with choreographers such as Hannes Langolf, Iván Pérez, Alexandra Waierstall, Johannes Wieland, Luke Murphy, Aletta Collins, Amy Gardner, Maciej Kuźmiński, Russell Maliphant, Maxine Doyle and Xie Xin amongst many others. In 2018, Will performed with and was collaborator of Barcelona based company Tangenbenzal, being awarded 1st place in the Mercat De Les Flor choreographic festival. Will's work resides not only in theatre but also in film, featuring in Mari, Aqua Man and Brave New World in addition to other short films and commercials. During 2021 he assisted in the movement direction on scenes in Christopher McQuarrie's Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning. Most recently Will has been involved in the creation of and performing in two large scale theatrical productions; Punchdrunk's latest immersive show 'The Burnt City', and a tour of Attic Projects 'Volcano', an episodic duet which culminated in a sold-out two week run at St Annes Warehouse, NYC. Will's interest within the arts and performance transcend beyond the realms of any one fixed style or discipline, with a deep interest particularly in finding a symbiosis between movement, text, voice and sound as a means of composing a form of expression that is able to best speak of the message it wishes to convey.
