Mohana Rapin

Biography

Mohana was born in Nepal and grow up in Switzerland. She started her career with Rhythmics Gymnastics, member of the Swiss team and she became in 2008 "Swiss Champion". After reaching her goal in Rhythmics Gymnastics, she decided to continue her path towards dance. 2010-2012 She danced with Béjart Ballet Lausanne "The rite of spring" and "Firebird". 2012-2015 She danced all the main roles in Landestheater Innsbruck in Austria under the direction of Enrique Gasa Valga. She performed also choreographies from Marco Goecke, Chang Ho Shin, Marie Stockhausen and Louis Stiens. 2015-2023 She wanted to continue her career in a more contemporary company, and she chose Grand Theatre of Geneva in Switzerland. She will tour around the world with pieces of great choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damien Jalet, Jirî Kylian, Andonis Foniadakis, Angelin Prejlocaj, Fouad Boussouf, Ioannis Mandafounis, Andrew Skeels, Ken Ossola, Jeroen Verbruggen, Joëlle Bouvier, Pontus Lidberg, Claude Brumachon, Natalia Horechna, Cindy Van Acker and Abou Lagraa. She also won in 2017 "1st prize Contemporary" in Grand Prix de Paris. Since June 2023, She decided to start a freelance career as dancer and model. You can see her in the campaign of Dom Perignon x Lady Gaga, Lacoste Spring-Summer 24, Music video clip "West Side Story" by Dj Snake and Reyl Bank campaign, Louboutin x Fashion Week, Hermetica campaign and the show « Chiroptera » Damien Jalet x JR where she performed in front of 28000 people. She recently performed a show on a turning table with Yoann Bourgeois.
