Mehdi BAKI

Biography

Mehdi starts movement at 11 with capoeira, bboying and acrobatics. To develop his vocabulary he has also studied jazz, contemporary and ballet. In 2011, the discovery of physical theater has been a real revelation for him and opened his perspectives about movement dynamics and space. Since then, he's creating links between those vocabularies and theater. He has worked for choreographers like James Thierrée, Yoann Bourgeois and Giuliano Peparini and he is creating his own projects. He has also been featured in the multi awarded commercial Apple "Bounce" and he is one of the main character of the new movie of the famous french director Cedric Klapisch "En Corps" choreographed by Hofesh Shechter, in movie theaters in March 2022. Beside that, he has a strong link with battles and had been finalist at Juste Debout Experimental 2018, Two times winner of Open Your Mind 2018/2019, winner of Who Got The Flower 2018.
