This live multimedia dance project/presentation explores how AI is helping with the climate crisis and also focuses on climate storytelling through dance, theater, and motion capture. The performance/gathering will happen on April 3rd at the Movement Lab at Barnard College where the director, Mary John Frank, is currently a research artist in residence. Through climate research guided by teachers and staff at prominent climate schools & universities, RESET (working title) will personify this unique and urgent time of transitioning away from fossil fuels to renewables. The role being cast will involve 2-3 short solos/movement installations with some brief audience interaction. The project is fiscally sponsored by The Field with support from the Movement Lab, and NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
