CASTING NOTICE

1-5 featured performers who are trained contemporary dancers and comfortable with singing. ONLY SUBMIT TO THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE SINGING - Vocal audition required.

Dancers proficient in multiple movement styles including contemporary, modern, and improvisation. Comfortable embodying a character, acting, and moving around in a non-proscenium environment.

Age Range: 20 - 45 years old

All ethnicities and genders are welcome

Talent must work as a local

World Premiere of The Woods at Pioneer Works, a new, immersive, multi-genre work blending San Fermin’s indie rock catalogue, contemporary dance and theater by Ellis Ludwig-Leone (Music & Lyrics, San Fermin, The Night Falls) and Troy Schumacher (Director & Choreographer, New York City Ballet, The Night Falls) with contributions from Jason Ardizzone-West. Three casted dancers will also be selected to perform in BalletCollective’s fall season in late October or early November 2025, featuring a new dance work by Chloe Crenshaw and a work of contemporary repertory by Troy Schumacher.

In person auditions are invite only and are scheduled for March 4-6, 2025 in Manhattan. Vocal tapes may be requested.

Rehearsal and Production Dates: June 16 – 29, 2025 and July 7 – August 2, 2025 (New York City area + out of town residency)

For the three dancers under consideration for both The Woods and BalletCollective's Fall Season, the additional fall dates will be either October 20-31, 2025 OR October 27, 2025 - November 7, 2025.
