CASTING NOTICE

Dancers ( all genders )

Age range: 19 years +

Experience learning choreography in person and online.

Trained in ballet/jazz/contemporary/musical theatre and commercial jazz

Some roles will need to be able to kick to eye height.

Ability to host a show, and interact with guests may be required.

Aerial experience is an asset for some roles.

Some roles will require singing and acting.

Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall is the oldest casino in Canada, and a must-see attraction in Dawson City, Yukon. Dawson City is well known for being the site of the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush, and a night at Diamond Tooth Gerties feels like stepping back in time to the bustling saloons of ‘98. The Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall has a capacity of about 400, and offers patrons entertainment, table games, slots, food, and drink. From May- September there are 3 high energy shows performed daily. All shows feature live musicians, singers, and dancers, as well as featuring Miss Diamond Tooth Gertie.

Audition: January 29th, 2023

Location: Innovative Rhythm Dance Studios-337 Evans Ave., Toronto, ON

Time: Sign-in at 5:00 PM, and dance at 5:30 PM.

Vocal call to follow at 7:00 PM.

Rehearsals: April 2023

Performances: May 1 to September 24, 2023

Starts at $875 CAD/week, depending on the role.

Audition: Dancers should have hair and make-up show ready. Must wear an all-black form-fitting dance attire, and be prepared to dance in heels. Character shoe is preferred for this audition.

Male Dancers should wear all-black dance attire and jazz shoe or running shows for the audition.

After the dance call, you will be asked to sing a verse and chorus of a musical theatre song and a pop song. Please bring a backtrack with no additional vocals for this part of the audition.
